Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible for your information

TSS Ltd is the controller of information collected through Driver Connect.

2. Information Driver Connect collects

• your full name, date of birth and home town;
• your mobile number and email address;
• the driving-licence categories you hold and the date you passed your test;
• the driving experience you enter;
• an optional profile photograph;
• whether you want your profile to appear in company searches;
• records of privacy consent and visibility changes; and
• a secure anonymous account identifier and technical records needed to operate and protect the service.

3. Why we use it

We use the information to create and maintain your driver profile, confirm basic age eligibility, make a visible profile searchable by approved TSS3 haulage companies, allow those companies to contact you about relevant work, protect the service, respond to support and privacy requests, and comply with legal obligations.

We rely on your consent to store and use the profile you submit for Driver Connect. You can withdraw from company searches by hiding your profile, or withdraw completely by deleting your profile and account. We may retain limited records where the law requires this or where they are needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

4. What companies can see

If you make your profile visible, approved haulage companies with active TSS3 access can see your name, home town, licence categories, test pass information, driving experience, contact details and optional photo. Your exact date of birth and anonymous account identifier are excluded from normal company search results.

Your information is not placed on a public webpage. An approved company that contacts you may become a separate controller of information it receives for its own recruitment process and should provide its own privacy information.

5. Service providers and international processing

We use Supabase to provide authentication, database and private photo-storage services. We may also use professional technology and support providers where necessary to operate Driver Connect. Providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use appropriate contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.

We do not sell your personal information, share it with data brokers, use third-party advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your Driver Connect profile while you choose to keep the account. Hiding a profile removes it from company searches but does not delete it. Using “Delete profile and account” in the app permanently removes the profile, contact details, optional photo and anonymous account, subject only to any limited retention required by law.

7. Security

Profiles are held in a private database protected by access controls. Profile photos are stored in a private bucket. The app keeps its anonymous sign-in session in the iOS Keychain. TSS3 company searches must use controlled server-side access; secret administrative keys are not placed in the iPhone app or distributed company software.

8. Your choices and rights

You can update your details, hide or show your profile, and delete your profile and account in Driver Connect. Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may also give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to processing, withdraw consent, and receive a portable copy.

9. Young people

Driver Connect is intended for people legally old enough to hold the licence categories they select and seek the relevant driving work. It is not directed to children under 17.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Driver Connect develops or legal requirements change. The app shows the current version and may ask you to review and accept a new version before your profile can be saved or made searchable.
